Prior to Deep Value, Harish Devarajan worked at a proprietary trading desk at Deutsche Bank, as its Chief Operating Officer. As COO Harish was responsible for the group's technology effort; execution management (lead negotiator with various liquidity destinations to route over a quarter-trillion dollars worth of Deutsche Bank N.A. order flow annually); and developing profitable trading strategies.
Prior to Deutsche Bank, from 1999 to 2001, he founded and served as President of ShockMarket Corporation. A venture-funded financial services startup, it counted Deutsche Bank and Dr. David E. Shaw among its investors, and its technology was sold to Deutsche Bank.
Harish conducted doctoral research in pure mathematics at the Computer Science Department at Stanford University; has a Master's degree in Computer Science from Stanford; and undergraduate and graduate degrees in Mathematics and Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
